A good pair of practice dance shoes will probably be the most comfortable dance shoes you will ever put on your feet! Reportedly, when worn during dance practice, they can even help to improve your dancing skills!

When it comes to ladies ballroom dancing shoes, having a pair of practice shoes in your line up can really be a lifesaver.

Practice shoes have lower, wider heels than other styles of dance shoes, and have great foot support as well.

If you have worn heels all day, you might appreciate a more comfortable shoe for your dance class in the evening!

The lower, wide heels offer the best stability, helping to improve your balance on the dance floor.

Dance teachers also will often wear practice shoes or dance sneakers during long teaching sessions.

This is a good shoe if need a slightly wider or narrower fitting shoe. The open toed, lace up style allows for a bit of flexibility in sizing.

The mesh provides good ventilation, and wears quite well, although not as well as leather.

This style of practice shoe is quite popular and is made by several different dance shoes manufacturers.

Available in basic black and various shades of tan.

I have a pair of these practice shoes myself, and have been very happy with them!

Ballroom Dance Sneakers

Many ballroom dancers nowadays are choosing dance sneakers for both practice and teaching.

Most dance sneakers have a split sole for flexability as well as a spin spot.

Best of all, sneakers are very, very comfortable! I will never part with mine!

For all the beginner dancers who want to wear sneakers, these are the practice dance shoes for you!

Be safe! Regular sneakers can cause injuries on the dance floor! Click on the image for more pictures of dance sneakers!
